AmeriCorps - Kitchen & Training Facility The location for this project had previously been a restaurant, a laundry facility and a clothing store. AmeriCorps needed a facility to train students before they were sent out on projects throughout the United States to assist in disaster and humanitarian relief. The facility contains 12 individual cooking stations which all contain commercial cooking hoods, and fire suppression systems. A 6,000 square foot training and assembly area is sectioned off from the kitchen area with an operational partition wall that stacks to one side of the building when not in use.
